Paul Richard Dulaney
Headmaster

Headmaster Dulaney has been involved in the Martial Arts since 1995, when he began his training with the study of Tae Kwon Do in Midland, Texas. Since that time Headmaster Dulaney has cultivated an intense interest in every aspect of the Martial Arts, and his studies thereof have included the philosophies, histories, and practical applications of various Martial Arts forms including Hapkido and Tang Soo Do.
Headmaster Dulaney is a full-time professional Martial Arts educator, and as an Internationally certified Senior Headmaster Instructor (Sunim Sabom Nim) under the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation’s strict requirements, Headmaster Dulaney has taught and developed students of all age groups, from children as young as 3 years old to as old as 81.
Headmaster Dulaney has taught all over the country and the world, in a variety of settings and environments, both grandiose and subdued…from his personal home garage to the city park as a home-based teacher, to his local community center and small-town schools as a professional instructor, to elite college campuses and private schools as a staff educator & instructor…Headmaster Dulaney’s mission has always been the same: to develop Blackbelt leadership potential in students young & old, regardless of where they come from in the journey of life.
Headmaster Dulaney’s teaching philosophy is based upon the belief that a well-rounded study of the Martial Arts, including the guiding principles, histories, and philosophies of the Martial Arts, is critical to understanding the Martial Arts, and that without this deeper understanding one can never fully appreciate or excel in the Martial Arts.
Headmaster Dulaney passionately believes that the Martial Arts is a way of life…not simply an “activity,” and should be approached with respect for its traditions, and an eye toward personal development with a long-term game-plan.
Jeremy Westbrook
Sub-Director of Programming

Instructor Westbrook is a level 3 Certified Instructor and the principal instructor of record at Cornerstone. He began his journey in the Martial Arts as a student of Tae Kwon Do in 1993, and his education was supplemented by his own Father, who had roots and experience in traditional Okinawan Karate and Marine Corps Martial Arts.
While stationed in South Korea in 2001, Mr. Westbrook received yet further training in Tae Kwon Do via an Army Integration Program, and it was during this same time that Mr. Westbrook also received training in classical Chinese Kung Fu through instruction from one of his Army Instructors.
Continuing his military experience, Mr. Westbrook enrolled in a training program for the Army Combatives System (a mixture of many classical styles and modern techniques of self-defense), through which he became Level 1 Certified in 2005.
In 2018 Mr. Westbrook began his formal training in the classical Korean Martial Art of Tang Soo Do, under the guidance and expertise of his teacher, Master Dulaney, and he quickly distinguished himself to receive a nomination from Master Dulaney to the prestigious Certified Instructor Training program.
As an Instructor at Cornerstone Martial Arts & Leadership Academy, Mr. Westbrook prides himself on his natural ability to “break it down” for newer students, and his personal teaching philosophy of “Never Take Shortcuts” is embodied in every class he teaches.
As the Sub-Director of Programming, Mr. Westbrook takes great pride in ensuring that Cornerstone maintains a robust and healthy slate of class opportunities across all age groups and skill levels, and prides himself on the “family friendly” structure of offerings that allows many different family members to partake of classes simultaneously.
Tiffany Vargas
Cornerstone Success Counselor – Family & Student Care

Instructor Vargas is a Certified Level 1 Instructor and integral member of the Cornerstone Martial Arts & Leadership Academy team. As the Cornerstone Success Counselor, Tiffany serves as the primary point of contact for families and students who need support, guidance, or a compassionate touch in their martial arts journey.
Known affectionately within the school as the “Den Mother,” Tiffany works closely with members across all age groups to ensure they feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her role encompasses welcoming new members and providing orientation support, maintaining engagement with students and families, nurturing our members during times of struggle or absence, and fostering lasting relationships that extend beyond the classroom. She also provides gentle but firm accountability coaching for those falling behind and guides families through moments of challenge or transition.
Bu Kyosa Vargas truly represents the Academy’s “best foot forward” in her commitment to members and their families. When members need help beyond “technique,” she is there to guide and provide, both on and off the mats.
Bu Kyosa Vargas embodies Cornerstone’s Community Mission to create Black Belt Leaders for a Better Tomorrow…not just through expert Martial Arts instruction, but by compassionately nurturing the emotional, mental, and social well-being of every individual who walks through our doors. Her warmth, integrity, and deep commitment to the community help make Cornerstone a place where students and families alike can thrive.
Tiffany believes that any person who is willing to work hard and live the lifestyle of a Martial Artist can excel both on and off the mats. She wholeheartedly supports the balance between mind, body and spirit that Cornerstone instills in its students, and is honored to be part of the leadership team who teaches this philosophy.
Bu Kyosa Vargas is proud and gratified to share her Martial Arts journey at Cornerstone with her entire immediate family, as both her husband and her son join her on the mats as dedicated students in the Academy, and she patiently counts the days that her infant daughter can join, as well!
Devyn Gaudet
Cornerstone General Manager

Instructor Gaudet formally began their journey in Martial Arts training in 2017 when they began training in Boxing after developing a desire as a child in Tae Kwon Do.
This quickly led them down the path to American Kickboxing and then to Muay Thai in 2019 when they began their training at the Travis Lutter Gym in Fort Worth Texas.
Instructor Gaudet was drawn to the powerful techniques, rich history, and culture surrounding Muay Thai and since then has developed a passion and intense interest in all aspects of the Martial Arts.
In 2021 Instructor Gaudet began their formal training in the Korean Martial Art of Tang Soo Do at Cornerstone Martial Arts under the guidance and expertise of the principal instructor Mr. Jeremy Westbrook.
Having a background in teaching (high school art) and coaching (high school basketball and children’s soccer) Instructor Gaudet quickly became interested in becoming a conduit of the culture, history, and philosophy of Tang Soo Do.
In 2022 their passion and drive to help their fellow students earned them the nomination, and acceptance, to the prestigious Certified Instructor Training Program. In becoming an official Member of the C.I.T. program Instructor Gaudet began their physical and philosophical training under Cornerstone’s Master Instructor of Record, Paul Richard Dulaney, SSBN.
Instructor Gaudet not only a teacher, but a lifelong learner, and is devoted to encouraging the same drive in their students. They are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment through constant support, respect, feedback, and instilling confidence by stimulating success through invigorating lessons. They look forward to becoming a part of their student’s strength, helping them to find their own physical and mental toughness, and grow their passion for the Martial Arts.

Lucio Perez

Instructor Perez is truly a home-grown success story!
He joined Cornerstone as a child in 2017, and has been a valued member of the Cornerstone Family ever since.
Having been present for many of Cornerstone’s most pivotal moments, Mr. Perez brings a unique perspective to his teaching, having been a child-student, here, himself, and recognizing the hidden value of Cornerstone’s systems as they have impacted his own life in innumerable positive ways.
He definitively credits his time with Cornerstone for helping him consistently make good choices as a teenager and young adult, and hopes to inspire and develop the same powerful life skills that have become second-nature to him (discipline, focus, perseverance, and integrity) in the next generation of Cornerstone students.
He is proud to be a living example of the power of the Cornerstone Program to instill positive character traits in children and teenagers.
Kenneth Wright

Instructor Wright began his Martial Arts journey when he was 10 years old with the study of Tae Kwon Do in Seagoville, Texas. In 2022, he started the study of Tang Soo Do under Master Dulaney and Mr. Westbrook.
His positive attitude, high energy, and willingness to always help others quickly opened the opportunity to join the Certified Instructor Training Program of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation to hone his skills in teaching students who attend Cornerstone Martial Arts & Leadership Academy.
Mr. Wright enjoys defying expectations and proving that anyone can do anything that they put their mind to, and helping others on their Martial Arts journeys.
As a larger individual, Mr. Wright revels in helping students learn how to put their self-doubt aside and develop practical skills in defiance of their own physical challenges and takes great joy in helping students conquer their fears and misconceptions about what they can do when they put in the hard work.
Both of his children attend Cornerstone as students, and he enjoys bonding as a family in pursuit of self-improvement.

Where can I begin.
From the day of enrollment til the day we moved Cornerstone was such a wonderful experience to be a part of. My son who’s was so reserved and kept to himself has become such a different energize young man and I couldn’t be more proud.
Mr. Greene was both patient and stern with my son and his other students.
Commanded respect and gave respect to the kids in the same breath.
He even would play with the kids before and after class if they had time.
After being a part of this program my son is more vocal, he’s more attentive and though we aren’t currently attending he still tells me how happy he is that he got a chance to learn and have fun.
Best after school experience hands down and I recommend this program to any family that wants to teach their children about respect, courage and confidence.

5 months ago I read a lot of reviews, for a lot of martial arts schools near my home. I decided to contact Cornerstone Martial Arts. It was not a mistake, what was meant to be a good experience for my daughter has turned into an excellent experience for my whole family. As she started Tang Soo Do, I restarted my healing journey with their “Healing Warriors Society” now that I am stronger, I have enrolled as a student, as has my other daughter and my husband. I’m my late teens I did American Karate, this time I intend to go all the way to Black Belt. Mrs. Brittany with healing warriors has been great motivation helping me to overcome past injuries. Mr. Westbrook has been wonderful getting my girls motivated, and helping us to overcome obstacles. I really don’t regret at all the choice of schools.

I’m in absolute awe of this academy and all of the staff. I heard back from them as soon as I submitted the I treat form while sitting outside another martial arts school got over 30 minutes waiting on someone and numbers provided were out of service. They scheduled a FREE one on one class with my son.
I showed up very expectant but they EXCEEDED my expectations. We walked in to a sign with our names, welcoming us and instantly greeted by Mr. Westbrook! Miss Devyn came up and proceeded to do the one on one with my son. Within that short amount of time, my son stopped interrupting, talking out of turn, and not once asked for my phone while we discussed memberships.
THATS what made me sign up.
Today was his first class which I got to participate in and we had a blast.
Mister Westbrook is an amazing instructor, he’s respectful, he taught me a lot and it was so fun!!! I’m hoping to sign up also sometime in the future.
